Our voluntary group is working to
progress the development of Elphin
so that people are attracted to
living and spending time in our town.
HOW WE FORMED
The current Elphin Development Group was set up following a consultation process with local Community groups, overseen by Venture International Consultancy, whose services were provided to us and paid for by Roscommon County Council. The remit of our group is to lead and co-ordinate the implementation of the Elphin and Hinterlands Community and Economic Plan 2020-2025.
The Bishop Hodson site is currently under the ownership and control of a limited company, Elphin Resource Centre Limited, which has a broadly based Board with 10 Directors who are managing this property on behalf of, and for the benefit of, the local community.
