We live in the Brookswood area, and our old York gas furnace was just not cutting it anymore - it would make noise like a tractor, or it would turn off at night (especially after big temperature changes). At first, I hoped to last another winter, but when we started sleeping in wool socks and with a heater by the bed, it became clear - it was time to replace it. I also scoured a bunch of sites, looked for Furnace Dealers in Langley, BC, read reviews, called, compared. I can say right away - not all companies are equally reliable. Some talk nicely on the phone, but as soon as it comes to business - either prices start to "suddenly" increase, or the deadlines are shifted. In the end, we chose a company called Langley Home Comfort Heating & Cooling. This is not the largest company, but they specialize in Langley and really know how to work with our houses (we have an old building, complex air ducts). A technician came, did a detailed diagnostic, explained why the furnace was not working (draft problems, outdated control system), and offered three options: an inexpensive option with a basic Goodman model, an average one with Amana, and a more premium one with Trane. We chose Amana — the price/quality ratio was good enough for us. The installation took almost the whole day, but they did everything very carefully: connected to the old ducts, replaced some of the pipes, installed a new thermostat. By the way, they offered us help with the FortisBC program — they give a refund of up to $1,000 for replacing it with a more efficient system, and they did everything themselves, I only signed a couple of documents.

It was interesting to read, thank you! I am also in the process of choosing, for now I am just monitoring furnace dealers in Langley, BC to understand what is on the prices and what is trending now. I am glad that you shared real reviews - this is more valuable than any advertising.
