Splatter screen — game changer or gimmick?
I keep seeing people recommend splatter screens but I’ve never owned one. Is it really worth the money or do you just end up wiping it down more than the stove? Mainly cook eggs, sausage, sometimes popcorn chicken. Curious if it’s helpful for that kind of cooking or only for serious deep-frying.

It’s not a gimmick if you fry anything regularly. Eggs and sausage create surprisingly much splatter especially when the pan is hot. I used to have little dots of grease all over the counter and stove knobs. A good screen catches probably 80–90% of it. I’ve been using this fairly basic but solid one https://www.amazon.com/splatter-screen-for-frying-pan/dp/B0DSWPHZ6K?tag=contractorhub-20 for almost a year. Handle stays cool, it fits 10–12 inch pans nicely, and cleanup is quick if you rinse it right away. Way less mess overall, I wish I bought one sooner.
